Quercus agrifolia

Coast Live Oak

This mighty evergreen oak is native to the coastal ranges and valleys of California. It can be seen throughout the Inland Empire. In perfect conditions it can reach 80 feet tall wide with an even wider spread, and a trunk width of over 10 feet (That's probably not going to happen in the landscape)!  Believe it or not, this species can be grown and sheared as a tall hedge.
